Following the trip to China in March 2011, Paul’s fascination for porcelain was greatly increased. The salt glaze pots had been throwing up many interesting glaze effects. The new series celebrates these qualities for their own values.

The porcelain jugs futher extend this area of experiment, reintroducing the life drawing, which has been so much a part of his work over the last 20 years.

The change of materials and firing method brings to the jugs their own reward.
